SHE Mentorship Sessions Celebrate 2025 Graduation and Welcome Cohort 6
Empowering SHEQ Professionals Across Botswana and Beyond
Botswana — SHE ON STANDBY proudly celebrated the graduation of its 2025 SHE Mentorship Cohort in December, marking the successful completion of a transformative journey in safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) leadership. The event recognised the commitment, growth, and leadership potential of participants who completed the structured 12-week programme.
Held in a spirit of reflection and celebration, the graduation honoured individuals who demonstrated consistent engagement, professional development, and a shared vision for advancing SHEQ excellence in their workplaces and communities.
About the SHE Mentorship Sessions
The SHE Mentorship Sessions are an HRDC-accredited professional development programme designed to equip emerging and practicing SHEQ professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to lead safety, health, and environmental initiatives with impact.
Now in its sixth cycle, the programme has mentored professionals across industries — from mining and construction to logistics, education, and healthcare.
Key learning themes include:
- SHE Management Systems (ISO 45001, 14001, and 45003)
- Leadership and Ethical Practice
- Incident Investigation & Risk Assessment
- Legal Compliance & Policy Alignment
- Workplace Readiness, Employability & Entrepreneurship
Participants engage through live virtual sessions, practical assignments, peer learning, and ongoing mentorship. The approach is interactive, practical, and purpose-driven — making it one of the most accessible and impactful SHEQ mentorship platforms in Botswana.
Celebrating the Class of 2025
The December 2025 graduation ceremony was a celebration of growth, resilience, and sisterhood (and brotherhood) in the SHEQ space. Graduates were applauded for their:
- Commitment to completing all 12 sessions
- Active participation in assignments, discussions, and self-reflection
- Passion for building safer, healthier workplaces
Graduates now join a growing SHE ON STANDBY Alumni Network — a vibrant community of SHEQ professionals who continue to collaborate, support, and uplift one another long after the sessions have ended.
“This mentorship journey gave me the voice I didn’t know I had. I am no longer just working in SHEQ — I am owning my space in it.”

- Peer-led presentations and real-time CV reviews
- A continuous focus on psychosocial health, climate resilience, and inclusive safety leadership
A Vision for Future-Ready SHEQ Leadership
As SHE ON STANDBY continues to build capacity in the safety and sustainability space, the SHE Mentorship Sessions remain a cornerstone of impact — bridging the gap between theory and practice, between aspiration and leadership.
Through mentorship, learning, and community, we are shaping a generation of SHEQ professionals ready to lead — not just comply.
The SHE Mentorship Sessions are more than just a course. They are a movement — one that empowers professionals to rise, lead, and make safety a lifestyle.
